4G LTE Technology Facts to Know (with Image)
What is 4G LTE:
4G LTE stands for 4th Generation Long Term Evolution; it is the fourth generation wireless communication standards developed by the 3rd Generation Partnership Project (3GPP) folowing to the 3G standards.
Below are the generation of 4G LTE:
1G Analog in 1981
2G Digital transmission in 1992
3G Spread spectrum transmissions (multimedia support) in 2001
4G Internet Protocol (IP) based Ultra Mobile Broadband (gigabit speed) access in 2012
Why is it important: The minimum speed requirement set for 4G standard as per International Telecommunications Union-Radio communications (ITU-R):
100 megabits per second (Mbit/s) for high mobility communication (such as from trains and cars)
1 gigabit per second (Gbit/s) for low mobility communication ((such as pedestrians and stationary users)
Now a days cellular provider have stated to deploy 4G technology and new generation smartphones & tablets comes with 4G LTE capability.
